MONDAY:  COCONUT LEAVES WEAVING INTO FISH
The earliest toys are made from materials found in nature. At Marndadee, you can make your own toy and learn how to weave a fish from a coconut leaf.
TUESDAY: VEGETABLE CARVING 
The purpose of fruit and vegetable carving is to make food more attractive, more appetizing, and also easier to eat.  Learn vegetable carving techniques from our chef and create your art of carving vegetables to beautiful objects, such as flowers or birds.
WENSDAY: BAMBOO WEAVING
Bamboo has been part of our life for thousand of years, It is well known for fast growing plants and versatile usage. At Marndadee, we will help you to create a bamboo bracelet. It is easy and fun.

 

THURSDAY: FOLDING PANDAN LEAVES INTO ROSE FLOWERS
Thai people use pandan leaves (bai toey) for many different purposes. Small squares of the leaves are often cooked with rice or added to desserts to give them a distinct aroma and attractive green hue. Pandan is also very useful for making handicrafts. The young leaves are sliced into thin strips which can then be woven into baskets, mats and other everyday household items. Join us as we show you the secrets of folding the leaves into charming and attractive flowers. These flowers are used for decorating in your room and for offerings in the temples to the Buddha image.
FRIDAY: ‘TUNG' FLAG MAKING  
‘Tung’ is one of the traditional folk wisdom heritage concerned with Buddhism. Lanna people believe that Tung symbolize a pathway or staircase to the heavens.  Tung ‘flags’ are made from elaborately cut colored paper and used in Songkran (Thai New Year) festivals. Tung can be seen throughout northern Thailand, especially decorating the sand castle in temple compound.
SATURDAY: SUAY DOK “CONE FLOWERS” MAKING
Suay Dok (Cone Flowers) are made of rolled banana leaves in form of a cone. This cone contains flowers, fire sticks and candles. Learning and creating a shared identity about the path of worship in Buddhism, where Thai believed that flowers are a symbolic of worship in almost every ritual.
SUNDAY: DRIED LEAVE CARD MAKING

Greeting cards from Mother Nature are a wonderful way to reach out and share the beauty and joy of nature. Learn with us to create your cards by doing some practice designs with laying flowers and leaves down on the paper. 

All above daily programs are available from 15.00 pm. – 16.00 pm. on complimentary basis. All activities take place at Marndadee’s river front terrace. Please ask at the front desk to confirm the day’s activity.
