Mae Suay District comes from the name the river that runs passing by the villages. Originally, it was called Mae Suai, in which Suai in local language means ‘wash,’ before changing into Mae Suay District in Chiang Rai province nowadays. There are bounty of beautiful and natural tourist places, for example Huay Harn Waterfall, Pha Daeng Luang Waterfall and Mae Suay Big Cave. Besides such attractions, visitors shall not miss going uphill to Doi Chang where the eye-catching scenery of Chiang Rai province shall be revealed. Moreover, the local and hill tribe villages are also festinating and worth to a visit.
